Brief Bio for David
I have 23 qualifications, including a history degree and a professional qualification in law.
I began creating by writing books and screenplays. I turned to painting in 2013 when a 9 year relationship ended. My evenings became lonely so I painted to fill an empty space. I suffer with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Depression and Anxiety, I am also Dyslexic. My disabilities give me the ability to visualise complex images. I paint what I feel about what I see rather than merely what I see. I am telling stories with my paintings. It is for the observer to decide what the story is. It may be different things to different people.
I am a member of the Midland Paint Group. Originally I did very few exhibitions. Then Christmas two years ago, the Group employed the services of a profession art critic, a professor in art at Birmingham University and member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artist. He gave my confidence a great boost when he praised my work. He suggested that I should exhibit and that I should present my work to the RBSA for exhibition, then he said he thought it so unique that it should be put to the RBA in London for exhibiting.
I originally set-up this website as a Printer and Publisher. It has gone though many changes since then and is very much a work-in-progess. I hope you will enjoy and come back.
Very many thanks - Dave
